I’m so excited to share this 5 minute DIY fall wreath that you can make using ONLY dollar store products!
But first let me tell you…
I love DIYs as much as the next girl, but have you ever clicked on a link to a DIY that looked simple…
Only to find that it had 19 steps and would require you to go to at least two or three different stores??
Well, although I’d love to spend my entire day crafting, more often than not that’s just not a possibility.
I’m single mom, I work full time, I have to cook and clean and plan activities to keep a toddler busy (and isn’t that a full time job in itself? Haha!)
So when I started brainstorming ideas for fall DIYs I thought, what if it was easy?
As in, a few dollar store products and 5 minutes or less of actual crafting time?
But of course it still had to be classy, because who doesn’t love an easy AND chic DIY 😉
And so we have this super simple and pretty fall wreath!
I can promise you it doesn’t get any easier than this!
Just $10 and one quick trip to Dollar Tree is all you need!
Keep reading to see exactly how I did it…
Supplies Needed:
- 14″ Wire Wreath Form (Dollar Tree)
- 9 Faux Dahlia Flower Clips (Dollar Tree)
- Jute twine (optional)
Step One:
First you’ll want to remove each of your flower clips from the carboard they come on, and cut the tag off of your wreath.
For my wreath I used only the dahlia’s in different colors. But Dollar Tree also has some sunflower clips that would look cute too! You could mix them both together or make one using only the sunflowers if you prefer!
Step Two:
Now take each of the flowers and clip them onto the wreath form. Be sure to space them out evenly, and arrange the different colors in whatever pattern you like best!
I made sure that not all of mine were clipped onto the exact same wire, which I think helped it look less uniform and more natural.
Step Three (optional):
Depending on how you plan to hang your wreath, you may want to add a loop to the top of your wire frame.
I hung mine using a wreath hanger so this wasn’t necessary .
But if you do need to add a loop to yours, it’s super simple!
Just take some jute twine and cute a piece off that’s a few inches long.
Then tie the piece into a loop around the top of the wreath frame.
You can always add a drop off hot glue to the knots in the string if you’re worried about it coming loose over time, but since this is such a lightweight wreath it probably won’t be an issue.
And that’s it! See, I told you it couldn’t get any easier than this!
The Result:
A gorgeous fall wreath for only $10!
I just love the fall colors on these flowers!
Here’s a look at the back as well so you can see how my flowers ended up being arranged on the wires:
You may have to play with them a bit and move them around a few times before you get the look you want!
If you’re using a 14″ wire wreath form like I was you will probably not want to use any less than nine flower clips in order to fully cover the entire thing.
You can definitely add more flowers to get a more full looking wreath though!
Or if 14″ isn’t quite big enough, Dollar Tree carries an 18″ wire wreath form as well!
The other great thing about this is that it isn’t permanent!
So you can switch out the flowers on your wreath for the next season, or even just take it apart for easy storage after the season’s over!
I hope this 5 minute dollar store fall wreath DIY helped inspire you to try creating a fun fall wreath of your own!
Remember, DIYs don’t have to be complicated with 800 steps to look good. All you need is a quick trip to the Dollar Tree and a little creativity!
